Conferences and Conference Facilities at Ekudeni

There are a multitude of conference venues in and around Johannesburg and Pretoria but few that are as close to nature, while at the same time being centrally located as Ekudeni.

Ekudeni, situated along the “wedding mile” in Muldersdrift, is perfectly situated equidistant from both Pretoria and Johannesburg and is built to accommodate both conferences and team building exercises.

Conference Facilities

Ekudeni, boasts with six conference and function rooms that are able to accommodate between 6 and 700 delegates. Our venue rooms are : Owl Hall, Hilti Room, Under the Tipuana, Bonnies, Stables and Vergelegen (the boardoom).

The seating plan for each individual venue can be altered to accommodate the conference delegation’s needs, however the number of delegates will dictate the final seating arrangements.

Owl Hall is our biggest venue and can accommodate many different seating arrangements.

In a U Shape layout, the venue will accommodate 106 delegates
In a Double U Shape layout, the venue will accommodate a maximum of 176 delegates
In a Herring Bone Layout, the venue will accommodate 300 delegates
As a School Room Style layout, the venue will accommodate 360 delegates
And a Cinema Style layout will accommodate 700 delegates

Each function and conference room is fully equipped with the most modern A.V facilities in order to make presentations easy and run efficiently. Specialised multimedia and sound equipment is available for hire on special request.

Zonki "Shebeen"

Another venue which can be made use of during conferences is Ekudeni’s very own unique traditional restaurant known as the “Zonki Shebeen”. This quirky venue is great for opening a conference or as a means of closing off a function or training. Traditional South African cuisine is served and the restaurant is also equipped with a fully licensed bar. Together with the new under cover Zonki annex, this venue is able to accommodate up to 250 people – both inside and outside.

Overnight Facilities and Accommodation

Ekudeni have twenty eight rooms of various sizes and standards to accommodate delegates who are engaging in overnight conferences. Ekudeni also has at their disposal a further 51 bungalows located on an adjoining property which can be made use of. Accommodation can booked as single or sharing. Current Ekudeni Packages

Ekudeni is offering very special conference packages this year!

Half-day conference packages which include two tea breaks can be booked during any week day in 2010. Lunch is an optional extra.

Full day conferences can also be arranged and booked. This includes three tea breaks and lunch.
